CSC launches newest book at Gilda’s Club Chicago signing

Friends and supporters came out to celebrate CSC’s newest book—Reclaiming Your Life After a Cancer Diagnosis: The Cancer Support Community Handbook. CSC President & CEO, Kim Thiboldeaux joined our affiliate, Gilda’s Club Chicago, for an evening book signing to kick off the exciting release, and start to the 2012 Annual ASCO Meeting.

Despite the night’s showing of typical Chicago weather- rainy and cold- the book signing was anything but. The fun and cheerful event was attended by several of CSC and Gilda’s Club Chicago partners, board members and community members for an evening of fellowship while Kim signed books and visited with attendees—including many of Gilda’s Club’s community members who joined after their education program. We were honored to meet a caregiver who secured a book for his wife whose is eager to do a book review —–and indicated that she would stay up all night to read it!

We would like to send a special thank you to Gilda’s Club Chicago for hosting the evening of friends, supporters and fellowship to celebrate CSC’s newest book. Reclaiming Your Life After a Cancer Diagnosis is our newest guide, which aims to give readers empowerment in managing a cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery. To purchase a copy, visit Amazon.

Thank you everyone who attended—-we loved sharing the evening with you. Next stop: Los Angeles! As part of our affiliate, Cancer Support Community Santa Monica’s 30th anniversary, they’re hosting a second book signing by both authors, CSC President & CEO, Kim Thiboldeaux and VP, Mitch Golant, PhD on June 7th; we hope to see you there!
